Lisbon Cheese & Wine Suites

Quite disappointed. I booked Cheese and Wine Lapa to enjoy a wonderful Lisboa experience. The price for two of us was well above other accommodation but I wanted a great place… unfortunately our room had a connecting room with 2 bunk beads and a kitchen zinc! The bedroom had one comfortable sit and another metalíc terrace chair. Nothing to hang clothes. No toilet as it had a ‘exterior’ bathroom that was located at a corridor around the central staircase. The bathroom was a shower with long black curtains, definitely something I wasn’t expecting. The room didn’t have basics such as tissues or a basin. I understand there may be an experience for some but personally, I feel this accommodation is not a place I would recommend. There was a couple of nice touches like water and a couple of little cakes and biscuits as well as a thank you note. I would have preferred an additional comfortable chair, somewhere to hang clothes, some hangers and a basin instead of a kitchen zinc. The building is located outside the main attractions, which can be reached by bus quite easily.

I had a rather disappointing experience at this hotel. The bathroom lacked a window, and the bathtub had peeling paint. The noise level at night was unbearable due to a party being hosted on the floor above my room. Despite reaching out to the hotel staff via phone (since the reception was unmanned at night), they were unhelpful in addressing the noise issue. I was even asked to personally approach the noisy tenants to request quiet, which I found to be quite disrespectful to paying guests. At least during the day, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was quiet good. To sum it up: This stay ended up costing me a significant amount of money, and I was unable to sleep until 1:30 in the morning.

We had an amazing experience at this hotel! The personal service was top-notch, and we felt truly cared for when they surprised us with small home-baked cookies and thoughtful messages every night. The small breakfast spread was spectacular, and the location was perfect. Moreover, the spacious and comfortable rooms added a special touch to the overall stay. Highly recommended for a memorable and enjoyable stay!
